Will there be a plan to allow for custom priority labels?
Some organizations having a specific vocabulary they'd want to digitally use.
A team-by-team configurable option would be awesome.
Is there the ability to have a 'low priority' label (for completeness sake) with the understanding that it won't repeatedly ask for a response every 2 minutes.
It's a priority, just a low one. Maybe it can have an optional timer measured in hours/days.
Will there be an insights page showing all my outstanding priority messages?

Regarding CRT I could imagine that the root post does not get important but a flag is on the root post to indicate that something important or urgent happend there
Instance: A message in a non important message thread gets marked as important

Will there be a way to filter by channel/team or even add a channel/team (other than in a cc to the message) to the priority? For example, I want to post in the announcement channel and my message is urgent for one team, but just important for others. Hope that makes sense!
If we can add groups to priority messages that'd be helpful - I sometimes forget to cc people and seeing as we have a group notification feature maybe we can leverage that.

proposal, add a low priority also. I sometimes message people later in the evening and don't expect a message back until the next day or so, so this could be useful

My reason for having lower priorities is because 'Standard' is sometimes too high. It may seem odd because it's making a direct callout to something not urgent but sometimes that's a priority level, too.
Plus it affords an ability to sort everything with priority labels at some point in the future on, perhaps, the insights page or Board cards. If the future features afford arbitrary labels (team by team?) then anything could be used.

I see that the icon in the center message input box but not in the RHS reply box. Is this due to the feature not being complete yet? Or will the feature not be available in the RHS reply box? Is it meant only for root posts?
What happens if a response to the root post is important/urgent and you don't want to start a new root post because your reply has to do with the existing root post?

On the "important" tag on messages. I find myself wanting to click on the tag and see other messages that are tagged as important as well.

I'm wondering if we should leave the text "Acknowledge" for anyone who hasn't ack'd yet? I know it shows for the first acknowledger but then it turns into just a number
It might help it differentiate from a regular reaction
