The BANT Framework

In order to effectively achieve our mission (“10x Mattermost’s ability to develop and deliver commercially successful software.”) we must prioritize our efforts. Fast Futures has adopted the BANT framework for pursuing opportunities like SBIRs, requiring at least 2 of 4: 

B-A-N-T

  • Budget: does a budget exist for the opportunity?

  • Authority: is the opportunity connected to someone who has authority to make or influence a purchase?

  • Need: Is the opportunity’s need clear and specific?

  • Timeline: Is there a clear timeline for the opportunity?
