Since a number of elements will be removed from the Channel Header, it will be refreshed to work with the rest of the layout

The following changes will be made to the channel header:

Remove Search Input

The Global Search function will be moved to the Global Header

Remove the Saved Messages Icon Button

The Saved Messages Icon Button will be moved to the Global Header

Remove the Recent Mentions Icon Button

The Recent Mentions Icon Button will be moved to the Global Header

Remove Global-level App Icons

Any app that has a global context will move to the App Bar as the new home for apps.

Add a new ‘Meet’ button

If video conference apps are configured for the user/server, a new ‘Meet’ button displays in the Channel Header.

Add a ••• Icon Button for any remaining channel-context app actions

Clean up and arrange remaining icons and controls

  • Shorten the height of the Channel Header to 56px (now matches Right Sidebar Header)

  • Show Channel Header description on hover of the left side of the channel header area
