Tab behavior
In addition to multiple windows for the above views, we would also like to support multiple tabs. To start we will be allowing support for other servers to show in the same tab bar scope (like we did in the past).
Server menu behavior
Remove the ‘checked' state in the menu items
Because we are removing the server scope and allowing multiple servers in the same tab context, the checkmark icon on the active server no longer makes sense.
Clicking a server from the server menu
If the server is not currently open, we’ll open a new tab for that server rather than change the entire scope of the desktop app. This means different servers can be easily switched to with tabs (like we used to).
If the server is already open in a tab, we’ll focus on that tab when the menu item is clicked from the server menu
Closing a server tab
Any tab in the desktop app bar can be closed and the re-opened through again through the server menu.
If all tabs are closed, we will have an empty state (coming soon).
Opening a new server tab
A plus button in the tab area opens up the empty state view to then choose the server.
