When this tab is active, before the user starts typing we show a placeholder message in the search input and recent searches below (if applicable). Ideally, we show recent searches in the default state, but this spec aims to keep reduce the initial scope down.
Typing state
In the Messages search mode, results do not show as users are typing (due to performance concerns). As the user starts typing a ‘clear’ button displays and the tips change to show ‘ENTER to Search’
