Desktop: Use the native window frame and server tabs on older Windows OS versions or Linux
Observed: Windows 7 and 8 and Linux use the new frame which is based on a Windows 10 design.
Expected: Put a default OS frame around the current tab bar design if the user is on Linux or Win 7/8?
QA Test Steps
Verify default OS window header is present with the appropriate right-click menu controls on Ubuntu, Fedora and Windows 7.
Verify no change on macOS and Windows 10.
Awe, I enjoyed the custom header... now after updating to 4.6.0, my title bar is twice as thick now with the tab bar and title bar... could we make this an option on linux? Pick native or the custom macOS/windows10 styles?
Tested and Passed on 4.6-rc1
OS specific window header is present on Ubuntu, Fedora and Windows 7. Right-click menu controls work as expected.
QA note: Test case added and linked. Closing.
Regrooming this and increasing priority. Thanks for the feedback.
I just updated and it's terrible. I can no longer use the window buttons I configured, such as "Stay on top".
I am writing to reinforce the above requests. I have to use mattermost desktop at work and the new interface, without titlebar and borders, is really ugly and not usable under linux. Thank you.
